The first unofficial website of
the College of Engineering and Technology,
Bhubaneswar, Orissa, India was set up at
http://bama.ua.edu/~mohan001/cet/ in August 1999.
The site was maintained by Debasmit
Mohanty (1994 Mech) with co-operation
from Bhabani Sahu (1995
Mech) and Shashanka Chaudhury (1998 Elect)
Since the need for a permanent
place for CET was always there, the site was
redesigned and hosted on an exclusive domain for CET.
The domain http://www.cetindia.org was
reserved on 12th June 2000 .
The website development team
had been working on the website for 6 months since
the beginning of 2000 and finally all the dreams came
true when website was uploaded to the existing
domain.
With this website, now CET has
become the first engineering
college in Orissa to have its website on an exclusive
domain thereby setting an example for
the other engineering colleges in the eastern region
of India.
The website is meant to serve
as the main contact website for its students,
faculty, alumni and prospective employers. We hope
that with the cooperation from all the students,
alumni and faculty members this website would grow continuously and continue to serve the CET community.
