1st Alumni Meet : Mumbai-Pune Chapter
Date: 29th May 2005
Time: 11:30 am to 4pm
Venue: Abbott Hotel, Vashi, New Mumbai

Sunday, the 29th of May 2005 was a memorable day in the history of Mumbai-Pune chapter of alumni association. It was for the first time alumni association had its first meet in this part of the world. The event “Razmattaz”- started at 11.30AM right on time.

The attendees came from different parts of Mumbai (belapur vashi, malad, nariman point, borivili, kandivalli, powai, kurla,colaba,marine drive, bandra, andheri, churchgate etc) and pune.

Mumbai’s local rail system was put into the test as people started arriving in time. Since it was the first alumni meet of our chapter, the enthusiasm was clearly evident. We had representations from every batch from 1992 through 2004.

The event got its official kick-off with the lighting of the lamp and welcome speech by Biswaranjan Patnaik, Manoj Swain and Dinabandhu Patra. It was follwed by the introduction of all 35 attendees. Everyone had his or her share of time to go down the memory lane and bring out the nostalgia of Cet days.

After all official festivities, we had the lunch and the music for the dance maniacs. We finished the day with sweet memories of camaraderie.

It was a pleasure for me to co-ordinate the first Alumni meet for Mumbai-Pune chapter. Let me take this opportunity to thank Shilpa and Abinash (Class of 2004), who were the initiators of this meet. I am very thankful to Sashikant Bhai for his intense support in the every step as well as Gopal bhai and Kalparaj Bhai for their support.

We also had Abinash, Asit, Santosh, Satya, Sambit and Somnath, the volunteers, who worked hard behind the scene to make this event a great success.
