The department of Electrical Engineering has facilities of the Electrical Machine Lab, High Voltage Lab, Relay Lab, Control Lab and the Microprocessor Lab. Apparatus for Displacement & Acceleration measurement, motor speed control, pH controller and pH measurement, stepper motor speed controller, VI and IV converters, flow and pressure control, temperature and water level control etc are designed for various elementary as well as specialized experiments in Control Labs.

Equal importance is also given to subjects like CAD/CAM/CAE as applicable to Electrical Engineering. Through Microprocessor based Projects and Compute Aided Design of Electrical Machinery, students get well versed with both core Electrical and also the programming languages and software's. Fields in which the faculty specialize are Power Systems, High Voltage Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Microprocessor Systems and Applications, Power Electronics and Electrical Telecommunication Networks.

• Design and Fabrication of 120o transistors VSI with PWM technique
• Microprocessor based on Load Tap changer
• Computer Aided Design of Transformer
• Microprocessor controller Chopped fed DC Drive
• Noise generation by HVDC Lines and its interference with communication lines.
